GX 700 & 650b on Specialized Sequoia Elite

Recently I rebuilt my 2017 Specialized Sequoia Elite. I’ve removed the FSA Gossamer 2x crank and Shimano 105 derailleur with an 11-36 cassette and replaced it with a Shimano 1x 165mm GRX FC-RX600-1 40T 1x11 Speed 165mm crankset, Shimano GRX RD-RX812-R 11sp Rear Derailleur with an 11-42 cassette. I’ve also added Curve Walmer 46cm handle bars which give me a wider stance, more relaxed for breathing and in the shoulders and more room for packing. But the best new upgrade are my two sets of GX wheels! A set of GX 700 wheels with Panaracer Gravel King 43mm tires for longer distance rides with more roads and gravel, and GX 650b wheels with WTB Sendero 47mm for gnarlier rides, rougher terrain and more single track. In essence, my Sequoia is now a gravel/packing machine and a 1990’s hardtail mtb with drop bars and disc brakes! Yeewww! Let the good times roll!
